Sarah Howells’ source url Bryde have announced the release of the debut album, http://kaitlynweathers.com/show/hangar-24-acoustic/ ‘Like An Island’, and shared the brand new lead single, http://halliebahn.com/stop-motion/process/ ‘To Be Brave’. The new track fills us with anticipation for the release of a record expected for April 13th, that will mark a big step for a brilliant artist I started to follow over a year ago.
“‘To Be Brave’ was written as kind of a soft squeeze of the hand to many friends who have, like me, been through many a dark period and put on a brave face and just got on with it. – says Sarah about the track – It’s a comment about how we all live out certain episodes of our lives in such a public setting these days that I feel we almost edit them to appear flawless, nothing but smiles.”
Described as a record of catharsis which gives a voice to bad times and exorcises old demons – in Bryde’s words an album that “sets a girl free” – ‘Like An Island’ is one of the most awaited releases this Spring. Bryde will present her full-length on the biggest headline tour to date, with a gig at London’s Omeara on May 1st.
