I came across Isaac Gracie and his music by chance, randomly switching from a playlist to another. ‘Reverie’ is the last single released by this young singer-songwriter from West London. And it’s now accompanied by a mind-blowing video, directed by Clara Aranovich (who has already worked on notable visuals for the likes of Beirut, Local Natives and Matthew E White).
Isaac’s soulful and pristine voice is the trademark of a sound that naturally builds up around a guitar and delicate drum patterns. There’s melancholy and some sort of hopelessness, among the lyrics, reason why Gracie has recently been described as someone who “wears his emotions on his sleeve”. As a follow-up to 2016’s EPs ‘Songs From My Bedroom’ and ‘Songs In Black And White (Live From The Waiting Room, 29.07.16)’, the atmospheric ‘Reverie’ is released through Virgin EMI.
The artist will be touring in the UK in the next couple of months, including two gigs in London. Here is the full list of dates in detail:
18th May – Tunbridge Wells, The Forum
19th May – The Great Escape, Brighton
21st May – Bristol, Louisiana
22nd May – Leeds, Headrow House
23rd May – London, Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club
10th June – Bushstock, Shepherds Bush
