Scottish quartet The Ninth Wave have just unveiled the visuals for their latest single, ‘New Kind Of Ego’, released a few days ago and taken from the forthcoming EP ‘Never Crave Attention’, out on April 20th via Distiller Records. Together with the new video, the outfit have also announced their first UK headline tour, which will include a prestigious slot at London’s Shacklewell Arms on May 16th.
The latest track – produced by Dan Austin (Massive Attack, Sløtface), is a post-punk explosion of sounds, drenched in atmospheres typical of the ’80s, and led by electrifying hooks. Speaking about the new single, frontman Haydn Park says: “‘New Kind Of Ego’ is a dialogue between two people and their insecurities in each other, focusing on the reasons for this lack of trust.”
