Sugarmen are a vibrant and eclectic four-piece from Liverpool, who literally spent the past 18 months forging and refining their sound and playing to huge crowds on support slots with Blur, The Who, Paul Weller, Sleaford Mods and Hooton Tennis Club. With a new record deal in the bag (Sire Records, under the wing of Seymour Stein), the band has just released their first new number in a few months, ‘Sold’.
First track off a full-length which should see the light later this year, ‘Sold’ is a fast trip through furious guitar riffs, obsessive drum patterns, and infectious choruses. It’s out on Modern Sky Records, accompanied by an official video, directed by Emily Jane Lomas and John Johnson, and it fills us with anticipation for the upcoming record.
