Oslo-based duo Imitating Aeroplanes have released ‘Hourglass’, the first cut off their debut album ‘Planet Language’, set to be released on September 22nd via Propeller Recordings. Comprised by The Wombats’ Tord Øverland Knudsen and Team Me’s Marius Drogsås Hagen, the new alt-pop supergroup has a long story, since both artist are friends since childhood and grew up together in Elverum.

‘Hourglass’ is inspired by Japanese folklore character Urashima Tarō. “The lyric is kinda dark, but it’s optimistic in the sense of just living in the now, and always looking forward, and making the most of this small fragment of time that we have”, said Hagen to NME.

“All the pressure of feeling to do what’s right for us
All the choices and our actions disappearing into white smoke”
