London four-piece ISLAND are back with a new track, ‘Just That Time of the Night’, released under Beatnick Creative/FrenchKiss Records. It’s the first single shared by the band as a follow-up of their debut LP ‘Feels Like Air’ (read our review here) released earlier this year.

As part of a new set of material which will lead to the release of a new EP, the new song marks a slight change of direction from the dreamy landscapes that inspired the full-length. ISLAND appear to be here as close as they can to the atmospheres of cuts like ‘Nighttime Written Blues’ which made it to their 2015’s first EP ‘Stargazer’. A smoother line of guitars fills the space along with Rollo Doherty’s vocals, which sound less raspy yet as warm as usual. “Your night is winding down, – states the quartet – everything is starting to feel a bit weird. Disconnected from your surroundings and the people around you. It’s just that time of the night.”

The band announced also a new set of UK and EU dates for next year, including a stop in London at the iconic Islington Assembly Hall. Listen to ‘Just That Time of the Night’ below here.
