Spanish singer-songwriter Marta Casanova – best known as MAVICA – has released ‘Plastic Hearts’, the delightful second cut off her forthcoming EP, ‘Gone’.
The studio work is made up of songs that resonate with her life experiences from different places she has lived in. ‘Plastic Hearts’ is an anthemic track that tells us a story of re-birth, and it follow the intricacies of life in Berlin (already depicted in ‘Fire’). “This song talks about how, when I got to London, I looked back on what happened in Berlin and realised I wasn’t affected by what happened there anymore”, stated the artist when talking about the song.
Written with help from The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard, the song is out via London’s tastemakers Beatnik Creative. Listen below here.
