With a highly anticipated debut album, ‘Bare’, only a couple of weeks away, Rosie Carney has released a brand new single, titled ‘Your Love Is Holy’, out via Akira Records as a follow up to ‘Zoey’, ‘Orchid’, and ‘Thousand (feat. Lisa Hannigan) taken from the forthcoming LP.
Rosie’s music has attracted the interest of the online communities, with over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and an ever-growing fan base. Her soulful voice takes the scene and immediately sets the tone of this brand new track, of which the singer-songwriter states: “I wrote ‘Your Love Is Holy’ when I first experienced falling in love. I’m not necessarily a religious person, but for some reason, the word ‘holy’ seemed to resonate with me the most when trying to put into words the feelings I experienced. It’s a song about love in general. About wanting to protect those close to you, being aware of time and how precious every waking moment is.” And again: “It’s about baring yourself and just wholly accepting love, whether it be from someone or yourself. Towards the end of the song, I put my focus on the end of love, and just that feeling of despair and helplessness when you realize and accept that you’re on borrowed time.”
Listen to a song that fills us with even more anticipation for the release of the debut full-length. ‘Bare’ is set to be released on January 25th.
