Brighton post-punk outfit Youth Sector have released a new number, ‘Renting Spaces In My World’. The track follows up to the band’s latest release, ‘Run’.
An explosive combination of indie guitars and drum patterns draws from the influences of Talking Heads and Preoccupations and immediately steals the scene. The result is a track that will get under your skin and make it to that ultimate summer playlist you’ve been working on for weeks now.
The track, the band reveals, “is about someone struggling to get to grips with reality. The lyrics tell the story of someone who, in their own grandiose delusion believes they own the whole world and all other people are like paying customers, renting the opportunity to exist within it.”
