Sunderland funk-punk outfit Vandebilt are multi-instrumentalist Jordan Miller, led vocalist Joey Crack, drummer Jack Wade and guitarist Daniel Martin. The band has released their second number, ‘Pushing Through’, a new genre-defining track that combines the energy of obsessive drum patterns and edgy bass lines.
Born in early 2018, Vandebilt draw influence from French house music, UK synth-pop and hints of 70s disco. The result is a new track that the band describes as “honest, angry and intense. It’s about showing how brave vulnerability can be. Despite all the shit, as people we can still push through. I didn’t realise it at the time but I wrote it to myself.“
