Toronto’s Electric Youth have just released their new banger, ‘ARAWA’, the second single off the forthcoming album, ‘Memory Emotion’, out on August 9th. The duo – which comprises of vocalist Brownyn Griffin and multi-instrumentalist Austin Garrick – keeps adding layers of anticipation for the full-length. The new album marks the return to a studio for the Canadian project after a few years exploring the world of original soundtracks, since 2014’s debut ‘Innerworld’.
Soaked in 80s synths and the ethereal vocals of Griffin, Electric Youth’s ‘ARAWA’ sets the tone for an album expected to be on a different page if compared to the introspective ‘Innerworld’. The band said about the forthcoming release: “‘Memory Emotion’ is much more outer-world, an album focused on the external world we live in and the way in which we interact with the world as a result of the emotions attached to our memories.”
