If this is your first dabble in salute’s craft, you’re in for a treat. The Austrian-English producer’s new single ‘Feel the Same‘ is taken from his hotly anticipated mixtape, ‘Condition III‘, due to drop on 16th August.

Propelled by a distinctive UKG inspired instrumental, the catchy vocal shimmers over a deeper and unrelenting syncopated bassline, showcasing salute’s smart production.

What’s striking is his ability to find light in the characteristically heavy garage sounds, using the acceleration of the distinct 90’s genre to moves us seamlessly through time signatures and perfectly timed plunging drops.

Speaking to Noisey in April, the producer explains how he first heard Garage playing FIFA Street 2, while growing up in Vienna – “I was about 11’ he remembers.’ I’d never heard anything like it… I couldn’t really understand the accent at that point. I was just like…this is nuts.”

The track in question was ‘Kickback’ by Lethal Bizzle, and after getting lost in the depths of Youtube and the multitude of artists pioneering the genre, he explains that he ‘got into Dizzee Rascal and Wiley and became obsessed. It totally changed my view on music and what it could be.’

With these early influences in mind, it’s clear to see how this talented producer has fused UKG soaked beats with an electronic lilt in his 2019 releases. Undoubtedly a crowd pleaser on your electronic playlist, ‘Feel the Same’ is a slick, radio-ready track with unstoppable drive.

Salute, we salute you.
