Sydney’s own Dom Youdan has shared a brand new instalment. ‘Pockets’ sees an element full of emotions at its core, and it perfectly fits this sun-soaked summer. The track, built on brilliant indie-pop soundscapes, is an evocative anthem, accompanied by its official video, directed by Youdan himself and filmmaker Daniel Hartley-Allen.
‘Pockets’ is a deeply personal effort. Youdan took inspiration from a close friend as they faced the agitated waters of the breakdown of a relationship. The result is a journey of catharsis. The artist stated: “The song is built around holding onto the things we cherish dearly, whether they’re good or bad, and keeping them so secret that eventually, not even we can find them. It speaks to moving on but also struggling to let go.”
