Curt Kiser’s band Carriers have shared a new number, ‘Heaven’s People’, taken from the debut album ‘Now Is The Time For Loving Me, Yourself & Everyone Else’ due out on August 23rd.
‘Heaven’s People’ is a powerful slice of atmospheric and dreamy rock, written by Kiser one winter after moving into a new apartment. “This was the first place I lived alone and was able to make music without disturbing anyone. – says the artist – It was a very freeing experience. I started singing this song one night as a way of expressing the memory of my grandfather and the impact he had on my life. It’s me reflecting on my own life and the joy I have in being able to make music and sing about things that matter to me.”
The band was hotly tipped by Sharon Van Etten in the notes of her acclaimed ‘Remind Me Tomorrow’ as “recommended listening”. And their debut album features drumming/percussions on every track from Bryan Devendorf of The National. Combining element of psychedelia with masterful guitar riffs and atmospheric counterpoints, the new single follows up to the previously released ‘Make It Right’ and ‘Patience’.
